Predictive Modeling
CCRi takes on complex predictive modeling problems where questions of space as well as time are at issue. In our work with the military and law enforcement, we are interested not simply in when a specific target will be attacked again, but in the larger issue of when and where the next attack will come. We work in space as well as time, including a large set of characteristics in our analysis.
We are also developing ways to extract the element of human decision-making that underlies events and process this signal. This technique, which we call cognitive signal processing, enables us not simply to predict the next event in a sequence, but also to identify changes in behavior that will lead to new kinds of events and even to determine the nature of these new events.
