Commonwealth Computer Research, Inc. is looking for software and systems engineers to join its team. CCRi is small business of under forty employees located in Charlottesville, VA that provides custom software development and innovative engineering solutions to customers in the government and private industry.

Qualifications for Entry Level Positions

CCRi seeks both experienced and entry level candidates.  Qualified entry level candidates will posess a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related technical field.

Qualifications for Experienced Engineers

Qualified candidates will have experience developing in a modern programming language such as Java, C++, Python, Groovy, Scala, or Ruby and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Statistical computing and analytical modeling: R, Matlab, Data Mining, Analytical Modeling, Machine Learning, etc.

Enterprise Java Development: Java EE, Spring, REST web services, Hibernate / JPA

Databases: PostgreSQL, MySql, Oracle

GIS: ArcGIS, Geoserver, PostGIS, OpenLayers, Quantum GIS

Business intelligence and data warehousing: OLAP, MDX, ETL

Cloud computing: Hadoop, Map-Reduce

Web Development: Javascript, AJAX, CSS

Additionally an active security clearance and Linux / Unix experience are desirable but not required.
